Thank you for trying AMORTZ. I am sure that you will find this program
effective and very easy to use. I welcome your comments (complaints,
suggestions, bug reports, etc.) and will respond to every one that I
receive. Please see the enclosed documentation for information regarding
how to contact me.
Depending on how you acquired your copy of AMORTZ, you may wish to copy
the files from a floppy disk to your hard drive. If so, follow the
following steps:
1. Create a directory (this step is not really necessary. You could
install AMORTZ into any existing directory) by issuing the
command md \AMORTZ at the DOS prompt.
2. Change to the directory where AMORTZ will be installed by issuing
the command cd \AMORTZ (or whatever directory you will be using).
3. Copy the files by issuing the command COPY A:*.* (or COPY B:*.*
if you are using drive B).
The following files should be included in this package:
AMORTZ.DOC - Complete program documentation for AMORTZ.
AMORTZ.EXE - The main program
PACKING.LST - Complete list of files included in the AMORTZ
evaluation package
PRINTDOC.BAT - Automates the printing of the documentation file.
Just type "printdoc" at the DOS prompt and the
documentation will be sent to your printer (less than
15 pages total).
PRINTREG.BAT - Automates the printing of the registration form. Type
"printreg" at the DOS prompt to print a copy of the
registration form.
README - This information file
REGISTER.DOC - Text file containing the registration form
SYSOP.DOC - Information for Bulletin Board System Distribution.
VENDOR.DOC - Information and restrictions for disk vendors,
distributors, user groups, and such.
WARRANTY.DOC - Important Warranty Information
You may have received an "archived" version of these files. In this
case, you will see only one file, probably called AMORTZ12.XXX, where XXX
is replaced by an extension such as ZIP, LZH or SDN. If this is the
case, please contact the source of the disk for instructions on how to
proceed.
Make sure that all of the above files are contained on a single floppy
(or in the same sub-directory of your hard drive). Then use the
following commands as needed:
AMORTZ - to run the program
PRINTDOC - to print a hard copy of the documentation (less than 15
pages in all)
PRINTREG - to print the registration form.
Please let me know if you find AMORTZ useful by registering your copy.
